I'm a clinical psychologist, in private practice in
Redlands, California. I have been thrilled with the Internet as a
professional tool. Access to professional
literature previously required a trip to a University library, a time-consuming
activity for a busy practitioner. I am
really excited with the APA Home page.
The APA Home Page offers links to APA membership information, convention
schedules, the tables of contents for APA journals, and a psychology search
engine.
In addition, for members of APA, online subscriptions to APA
journals may be purchased. ( APA Home page.
)
Another valuable link is
Yahoo's
information on Psychology. Included are Psychology resources on
the Net, as well as links to journals. An extensive list of psychology
resources may also be found at Psyc
Site. Also of interest is Psychology
Resources and the list of Psychology Resources
provided by the psychology department at the University of Denver.
Psychinfo,
provided through the American Psychological Association (APA),
is a wonderful source of current or recent abstracts. An increasing number
of full text articles are also available. Subscription fees and on-line charges apply; however, this
service provides full library searches for psychological literature. Other
databases are also available.
Medscape is another source of
medical and psychological literature.

My Practice |
|
I have a solo general practice in Redlands, California. I see
adolescents, adults, and elderly patients. In addition to conditions of
anxiety and depression, I see patients who are chemically dependent.
I also see patients suffering from a variety of addictive or compulsive
disorders, including alcoholism, drug addiction, and sexually addictive problems. I also treat
patients who have physical and health issues. That includes adjustment to
disability or chronic illness, pain syndromes, psychophysiological
disorders, and sexual dysfunction. I am also trained in
neuropsychological assessment. I enjoy working with couples and
families, and I hold group sessions as the need arises. |
